Mood- see-saw
Health- roller coaster

It has been a rough day, in many ways a good day and in many ways a bad day but in all a completely exhausting day and to top it off I laid down for a nap (had to leave the house on little notice and that tapped the last of my strength) and when I woke I sat up and discovered that my stiff neck was back with a vengeance... it was so bad that when I tried to move it literally felt like I was snapping my neck... OUCH!

Why did I leave my home on little (for me) notice when I know that doing so will throw my body into a tailspin?

Because today I was interviewed by a local newspaper about my entry in the Reader's Digest "Your Life" FaceBook contest over the phone and after the interview they called and asked for a photograph to go with the story and my most recent one is over a year old!

It seems that my entry has caught the eye of a Marketing Firm with Reader's Digest and a local reporter... no, I did not contact them... they contacted me!

I will post the link of the article tomorrow... I was told that it would be 'right up on the front in tomorrow's edition' and while I am excited about the article what excites me the most is the chance to get some more awareness out there in the media and I hope that the article goes well. This is a victory in itself and I will take the trembling muscles, encroaching bout of Dumping Syndrome and every stiff neck in the world to get awareness out there because it really is a small price to pay if just one person finds answers to the mystery illness that has been plaguing them in the words of the article.

The article is about why I wrote my small essay for the contest... my driving force behind it all (which is to raise Awareness of Gastroparesis and other Digestive Tract Paralysis Conditions) and to ask the readers to cast their votes daily until November 1, 2011 to help see my dream come true and have my story published in Reader's Digest bringing a splash of Awareness to the world.

As excited as I am to wake and see the article I am also exhausted even after the nap and have to cut my blog off here soon... I can feel the Dumping Syndrome getting closer and closer and it will soon pounce.

I will end with these words of advice... never be afraid to put yourself out there when it comes to raising awareness... you never know which action will catch the eye of someone that can take it to the next step!
