Well, I have developed Ludwig's Angina (had that when I went to the ER as well) but it seems to be responding to the horrible Flagyl (at 1000 mg a day of the nasty concoction I would hope so) but after a week of having my face aching and swollen and my neck looking like an over-inflated inner-tube I will be happy to have my face back some day.

Things might be better if I could have gotten the other antibiotic as well, but there is no way I could have swung $100 for 14 pills right now, so I am just going to have to improve as I am and hope that the nuclear dosage of Flagyl will be enough.

Can't even lower my chin today, my neck is so swollen and can only afford one of the antibiotics that they prescribed (500 mg flagyl 2x a day) and it seems to be making what tiny appetite I had completely disappear... what a great thing to have happen when I already struggle to get food in.

Going back to the ER is just not going to happen because it would be a repeat of the first time when they did nothing... not even a blood test to check my blood levels.

As far as the Hospital thinks uninsured means unimportant.

Health- bad

Tried going to the ER or treatment for my infected jaw because the swelling involves the entire left side of my jaw all the way down my neck to my collarbone, is red and scalding hot to the touch.

I have no insurance... so they pushed at my jaw, gave me two antibiotic pills and sent me home.  No blood test to make sure it is not septic... not a dang thing.

Back in bed.

My jaw is abscessed again and since there is nothing I can do about it the agony is intense.
