Health- up
Today is better than yesterday exhaustion-wise, and that is just how it goes... one minute to the next you do not know how you are going to be feeling.
I discovered about 30 minutes ago that I have not had anything to drink since yesterday morning... yesterday I was just too tired to think and forgot to drink and since I do not experience 'thirst' it was not until I saw my drink bottle and saw the cloudy green/mint tea in there that it hit me. Ooops...
I am now typing between tiny sips, holding it in my mouth for a few seconds then swallowing because to just sip away would be asking for trouble in the form of pain and instant bloating. I also have to 'eat' something... sighs... it never ends, does it?
For most people it is the decision of what to have for dinner every night... deciding what they are in the 'mood' for. For those with Gastroparesis and other Digestive Tract Paralysis conditions it is a battle to just 'eat' anything and not being in a 'mood' for food but guessing what food would not make us sicker today and hoping they chose right.
HTTP://WWW.G-PACT.ORG will be 10 years old very soon and are celebrating their second Annual "DTP Awareness Week" (DTP- Digestive Tract Paralysis) with many exciting things that everyone can take part in. Go to https://www.facebook.com/GPACT to find out more.
I should say that I am not an official volunteer for G-PACT, but I like to do everything I can to help them in their efforts to raise awareness. You do not have to be 'official' to help out and make a difference, you just have to be willing to share.
Share your story, share helpful links, share where to find more information, share what daily tasks do to you and how you must adapt to the world...
You have to step in front of the condition and be seen as a person for others to care, they have to see you and everyone else with the condition as people first... and people with an incurable condition second. Once they start caring about the person they will start caring about the condition.
